NATIONAL: Sportsgirl has engaged a group of independent designers to create a capsule range of accessories to coincide with National Body Image and Eating Disorders Week.

Six designers from Sportsgirl's 'Like' program are involved, with proceeds from sales going to organiser of the week, The Butterfly Foundation.

Themed 'Hope', the products include a knuckle duster ring by the Aje team, a necklace by Alpha60, a journal by Arnsdorf, a tote bag by The Cassette Society, a purse by Kym Ellery and a charm bracelet by Rachel Gilbert. Each designer has also created a nail polish shade.

The Butterfly Foundation and Sportsgirl have had an ongoing alliance for a number of years. So far Sportsgirl has raised $830,000 for the organisation. Sportsgirl CEO Elle Roseby said it intends to raise this to $1 million by the end of the year.

The collection will be available in Sportsgirl stores nationally throughout September. National Body Image and Eating Disorders Week runs from September 5 to 11.
