SYDNEY: The operators behind Australia's first Victoria's Secret store have set the record straight on rumours of additional store openings.
The one and only Victoria's Secret store in Australia opened recently at the newly refurbished Terminal One in Sydney International Airport. The store is operated by luxury retail specialist the Valiram Group.
When asked if the brand was likely to further invest in the Australian market via additional store openings, Valirum Group managing director Australia Geraldine Dielenberg said it was not on the agenda.
The Sydney Airport Victoria's Secret store offers merchandise tailored to the international traveller including travel and leisure apparel and pieces from the Victoria's Secret 'Pink' outerwear line such as hoodies and t-shirts. Apparel prices start from $15.
While the store does not sell Victoria's Secret bras, it does retail underpants with prices starting from $14.
Also on offer are Victoria's Secret accessories including sunglasses, jewellery, passport wallets and travel purses along with a range of beauty products such as fragrances and make-up.
The store is only accessible to international travellers who have passed through Sydney Airport's customs controls.
Victoria's Secret is owned by US-based retail company Limited Brands. There are approximately 1040 Victoria's Secret stores around the world in addition to an established online store.
Other retailers in the Limited Brands portfolio include lingerie label La Senza and accessories retailer Henri Bendel.
