SYDNEY: Luxury children's wear store The Shop Next Door (formerly Milk & Honey) has opened a second store for mothers and babies - oddly enough, right next door to the original in Double Bay. The Shop Next Door - Mother and Baby is the exclusive stockist for cult US denim maternity jeans Yanuk and Seven For All Mankind. Other new brands include the UK's Homme Mummy fashion line and Essential Mummy Packs.

Fossil's Timely liasion
NEW ZEALAND: Fossil New Zealand is set to merge with Adidas watch distributor Time National New Zealand from early next year. The newly merged company, which will continue to operate under the name Fossil New Zealand, will move to a new warehouse and office complex in Auckland to accommodate its projected growth.

Austin Group results
MELBOURNE: Fashion apparel wholesaler Austin Group has reported a five per cent decline in net profits to $4 million for the year ended June 30, 2005. Total revenue for the year was $61 million, up seven per cent on the previous year. The company anticipates moderate earnings improvements over the next 12 months.

Beauty and utility
MELBOURNE: Designer Nicola Cerini has launched a collection of bags made from waterproof fabric, dubbed the "Utility range". Bags are available in a range of styles including totes, small and large satchels, backpacks, pouch bags, utility shoppers, and overnight bags. The range - available at price points from $45 to $250 -features traditional Cerini prints including passion flower and daisy designs as well as fresh spring/summer styles based on poppies, dragon flies, mutton birds, and waves. Quiksilver grants rights
UNITED STATES: Global surfwear company Quiksilver has granted the exclusive rights to the Tony Hawk clothing brand to US manufacturer and department store chain Kohl's. The licence encompasses a range of apparel and accessories for both the boys and young men's categories and will be in all Kohl's stores in spring 2006. Under the agreement Quiksilver will be responsible for product design while Kohl's will manage sourcing, distribution and marketing.

AWI seeks nominations
SYDNEY: Nominations for election to the Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI) Board of Directors will open from tomorrow (10 September). In accordance with the constitution, three directors must stand down to create the required three vacancies to be contested.
