NATIONAL: Specialty Fashion Group (SFG) could soon find the answer to its $16.6 million question.
The listed retailer is closer to tracking down a multi-million dollar fraud allegedly committed by its former property head Simon Feldman, Fairfax newspapers reported today.
A provisional liquidator had been appointed to two private companies operated by Feldman - both suspected to have reaped some of the $16.6 million siphoned from SFG over the last five years.
It was believed the appointment of Smith Hancock Chartered accountants could help the company, which operated the Katies and Miller's Fashion Club chains, trace the trail of funds.
SFG alleged Feldman stole from the company by invoicing it for store renovations that never took place.
The case would return to the NSW Supreme Court tomorrow.
