‘Sevens’ sets up shop
7 For All Mankind has joined the spate of international denim brands clambering for retail space in Australia.
The Californian-headquartered premium denim label will open its first Australian flagship in Melbourne’s Chadstone shopping centre in October.
The brand also recently opened a store on Oxford Street in Sydney’s Paddington, but 7 For All Mankind national sales and production manager Michela Everett said the Paddington store was a ‘test space’. The brand signed a short- term lease on the Paddington store and will assess its performance before deciding whether to commit to a permanent Sydney site.
7 For All Mankind joins a number of international denim labels that have been pursuing growth opportunities in the local market, including Replay, G-Star and Gas. Italian denim stalwart Diesel is also undergoing changes, with the Australian licence for the brand currently up for sale.
7 For All Mankind was established in 2000 and produces womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, footwear and accessories including eyewear. The brand operates its own retail stores, online store and is available from select high-end stockists including David Jones.
