High end men's and women's label Satch is breaking new ground in the form of a concession partnership with Myer and a concept store expansion.
Satch brand manager Narelle Orr confirmed plans for Myer concessions in Chadstone (Melbourne) and Brisbane were in progress, following openings at Westfield Bondi Junction Myer in mid February and Myer Sydney Central last October. More concession openings were likely over the next 12 months, she said, with the sites yet to be confirmed.
"We're just taking it as it comes at this stage. We want to see how the concession business travels and then take it from there," she said.
The brand also planned to relocate within Melbourne's Chadstone shopping centre with revamped men's and women's adjacent concept stores opening in September. Meanwhile 2010 would see it expand its interstate presence with the opening of its first Perth site, comprising adjacent men's and women's concepts located in the high end Claremont shopping precinct.
Founded in Melbourne in 1996, Satch currently operates 14 stores across its separate men's and womenswear concepts, mostly in Melbourne and Sydney. With the brand's focus on premium quality clothing built around European fabrications and styling, hand "Satch stores are positioned in some of the most prestigious shopping precincts in both Melbourne and Sydney.
Each store boats a distinctly Satch styled personality; innovative interiors re-defining retail space to provide a fitting backdrop to the men and women?s collections."
Satch's partnership with Myer and expanded retail presence was the latest development in an ongoing strategy that had seen it add denim and directional women's fashion to its original corporate offer, and more recently avoid the gloom of the current down turn she said.
"I think the Satch brand's distinctive look and feel and strong focus on quality have really stood it in good stead."
