SYDNEY: Saba has joined its sister brand Sportscraft in the online world, launching a comprehensive e-store for its men's, women's and accessories collections.

The store had its first sale within an hour of being operational, and features a 'looks' section that showcases styling ideas in addition to standard shopping functions.

Saba general manager Inger Adamson welcomed the “positive” development.

“The introduction of our online store represents a shift in the direction of the brand,” Adamson said.

To market the new sales platform, Saba is offering free delivery within Australia for online purchases over $200, as well as a Saba ceramic watch for all VIP customer purchases over $400.

The online store is also accessible to international shoppers.

To complement the online launch, Saba has reinvigorated its VIP customer loyalty program. Cardholders will now receive 10 per cent off all full-price merchandise when they shop online or in Saba boutiques. Other benefits include pre-sale invitations, personalised shopping offers and style updates.

Saba was founded in 1965 and, together with Sportscraft, is owned by Apparel Group. Sportscraft debuted its online store in late 2009.
