SYDNEY: Tickets for the second instalment of Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival (RSFF) are expected to go on sale from mid-July.
The public fashion festival is scheduled to take place from August 17 to 22 with a state-of-the-art marquee in Martin Place and fringe events across the CBD, Paddington and surrounds.
Organiser IMG Fashion Asia Pacific will kick off its publicity campaign tonight (June 11) when, in partnership with the Sydney Fashion Festival, it hosts the Australian premier of fashion documentary 'The September Issue'.
Following the documentary, which stars US Vogue editor Anna Wintour and creative director Grace Coddington, IMG will also host an official after party with guests including high-profile designers Kit Willow, Kym Ellery and Nicola Finetti.
The inaugural instalment of RSFF attracted a broad range of designers and retailers such as Alex Perry, Jayson Brundson, Lisa Ho, Romance Was Born, Wayne Cooper, David Jones, Jets, Country Road, David Lawrence and Bonds.
As reported in the September 5, 2008 edition of Ragtrader, 4000 tickets were reportedly sold through official partner Ticketek last year. At the time, key participants said more publicity was needed in the lead up to the event to generate the interest of everyday consumers.
Jets managing director Adrian Allen said this would have also boosted advanced ticket sales.
"Even though the Jets show was a sell-out, awareness was very much in the fashion fraternity."
