SYDNEY: Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival (RSFF) will be in a new home this year, at the recently renovated Sydney Town Hall.
The consumer focused event will be held from August 23 to 28, with free and ticketed catwalk events for the public and industry members. In 2009, the catwalk shows were held in a central Sydney marquee.
Daily catwalk shows will feature the spring/summer 2010 collections for Australian fashion brands as they hit retail stores. Labels participating include Alice McCall, Aurelio Costarella, Bec & Bridge, Camilla and Marc, Dhini, Dion Lee, Ellery, Friedrich Gray, Gail Sorronda, Ginger & Smart and many more.
A runway highlight will be the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week Review Shows, featuring some of the Australian labels that recently staged shows as part of the industry-only event in May.
Other events will take place across Sydney, including the Paddington Alive festival with Oxford Street retailers, as well as the continuation of the Frock Stars exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum. Events will also be staged at Westfield Bondi Junction.
RSFF is designed to boost retail sales in the Sydney CBD and nearby shopping precincts. It is run by IMG Fashion and the NSW Government.
