NATIONAL: Fashion retailers across the country have never had a better reason to boast about their exploits.
While the country may be in the throes of extremely tough trading conditions the TNT Ragtrader Fashion Retailer of the Year Awards will this year provide a platform for the industry to recognise those finding success.
Nominations for the sixth annual awards event are now open with nominations accepted from industry suppliers as well as retailers themselves.
As with previous years, the awards are open to both independents and chains with the list of categories including best chain (over 20 stores), best under-20 chain, best independent womenswear boutique, best independent menswear boutique and best childrenswear boutique.
Entry forms are available via the magazine with an electronic version available on the Ragtrader website from the end of this week.
Nominations close August 21 with all winners announced at a prestigious dinner function in Sydney in October.
Past winners include Sportsgirl, Arthur Galan, General Pants, Peter Alexander, Mariana Hardwick, Morrison, Grace Melbourne, Harrolds, Girotondo, Ksubi, Mosh & Jolly, Gorman and Feathers.
