Retail Cube appoints
SYDNEY: Specialist retail investment holding company Retail Cube has appointed Julia King to the position of chairman. King, who is also currently a non-executive director of John Fairfax Holdings, Servcorp, Carla Zampatti and Opera Australia, brings to the role extensive experience in growing profitable retail businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Prior positions include that of CEO of Louis Vuitton, managing director of Lintas Advertising as well as non-executive roles with Country Road and MMI. While at Lintas Advertising King was responsible for the advertising and development of brand strategies associated with Katie's, Johnson and Johnson and Kimberly Clarke. King will also assume the role of executive chairman for a period of at least six months beginning January 3, 2006. Current chairman Eric Melman will step down from the position on this date.
