UP AND UP: Australian cities have among the most expensive retail rents in the world, a recent report by commerical real estate agency CB Richard Ellis found.
As reported on www.ragtrader.com.au, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane were on the global top 10 list for retail rents, with all three clocking in higher rates than shopping strips in Milan and Los Angeles. Sydney proved to be the second most expensive shopping destination in the globe, topped only by US hotspot New York. Above is a breakdown of average retail rents per square metre, per year locally.
