RAFW: the online verdict

Comments Comments

Alex Perry’s popularity in the online community soared after his Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) show, according to a software program that monitors live trends on the internet.

As reported earlier this year, trendforecasting agency Stylesignal has released a service called Trend Science, which quantifies online opinion through blogs, Twitter and Facebook. Ragtrader asked its Australian creators, Julia Fowler and Geoff Watts, to monitor opinion during RAFW 2010.

The selected charts indicate how many fans labels Zimmermann, Alex Perry and Aurelio Costarella gained or lost throughout the week, along with a top-15 list of labels and materials showcased at the event.

Finally, the circular graph illustrates online sentiment with red indicating negative comments, green as positive and grey as neutral.
