SYDNEY: Ksubi will close Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) with a unisex collection inspired by gangs and their insignia.

The designers behind the cult denim brand, Dan Single and George Gorrow, have revealed groups ranging from indigenous tribes through to modern street subcultures were the source of ideas for the 'One Via Zero' collection.

“The collection is totally unisex, and we have tried to design a very androgynous and uniform look,” Single and Gorrow revealed.

“Art-wise, we have tried to stay away from loud prints and have instead pushed our art through texture.”

Before the day ends with Ksubi, it will begin with a showing from womenswear label Arnsdorf. Designer Jade Sarita Arnott will show off-site at 10am.

In her wake will be lingerie designer Juilee Chione-Tullio, who makes her RAFW debut this year with her Ms. Couture catwalk show. Chione-Tullio's spring/summer 2010/11 collection will feature both “angelic” and “seductive” corsetry, nightrobes, hosiery, stiletto slippers and more.

In the wake of the collapse of Swim Fashion Week earlier this year, RAFW organisers IMG Fashion will present a group swimwear show at the Overseas Passenger Terminal at noon. Labels including Karen Neilsen Collection, Lisa Blue and Rebecca Manning Swim will all take part.

Swimwear label White Sands will stage its own catwalk show at 1pm, with designer Leah Madden having created both high-waisted, low-legged vintage-inspired styles and 1980s skimpy high-cut looks to attract buyers' eyes. Coral and aqua shades, delicate florals and rope prints are key to the range.

Hussy will host the final on-site catwalk show for RAFW 2010, with designer Marie Hatzis-Ritchie unveiling her 'Metamorphosis' collection. Pieces in the collection have been designed to reference the theory of evolution and patterns found in the natural world.

“We thought it was only fitting that we showcase Hussy at the 15th anniversary of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, since Hussy also celebrates 15 years of Australian fashion this year,” said Hatzis-Ritchie.
