MELBOURNE: Quayeyeware is driving its international expansion with participation in the Berlin-based Bread and Butter trade show, which launches tomorrow.
The six-year-old Melbourne-based label for women is aiming to pick up new accounts across Europe to add to its stable of 300 Australian stockists. The Bread and Butter event is one of the largest streetwear and accessories trade shows in Europe.
Co-director Linda Hammond said the brand has recently launched a London showroom to build momentum in the UK. She said the brand also regularly shows in the Pool trade show in Las Vegas to cater for its US clients.
At Bread and Butter the label will show its summer 2010/11 offer of 50 sunglass styles – some of which come in six colour options. Retail prices range from $24.95 to $60.
The label projects a vivid image with bright colours, floral and striped trims and statement frame shapes key.
“Our range has primarily aimed at females aged between 15 and 40, but we have noticed there was a gap for men in the same age group and are also now focusing on that also,” said Hammond.
Key Australian stockists include City Beach stores, Charcoal/Mossman and Friends of Couture stores. It also has a presence in New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Canada among other countries.
