SYDNEY: Ralph Lauren has incorporated a men's range into its Pink Pony Collection as part of efforts to increase sales for its breast cancer fundraiser.

The luxury apparel retailer will release its first ever men's Pink Pony capsule collection on September 13, with product on offer including trans-seasonal polos and oxford shirts. Sales from both men's and women's Pink Pony apparel will raise money for the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre (NBOCC) of Australia.

Ralph Lauren also revealed the 2010 Pink Pony Collection is the largest yet, marketing the 10th anniversary of the fundraising initiative. This year's collection for women includes running jackets, shorts, hooded jumpers, polos, t-shirts, leggings, drawstring pants, racer-back tops and caps.

Pink Pony apparel will be available exclusively from Polo Ralph Lauren stores, with price points for the collection ranging from $69.95 to $899.

The Pink Pony initiative was established by Ralph Lauren in the wake of the death of fashion editor Nina Hyde from breast cancer in 1990. In Australia, 20 per cent of all sales from the Pink Pony Collection are donated to NBOCC, with more than $650,000 raised in Australia to date.

Polo Ralph Lauren is operated locally by the OrotonGroup. The brand has eight stores nationally, 14 concession stores and five factory outlets.
