The closures are part of the company's broader strategy to exit its Australian and New Zealand manufacturing operations.
Over 90 employees will be made redundant due to the closures. They will receive outstanding holiday pay and full redundancy entitlements. They will also receive a payment of $3000 for re-training, as well as a training and support programme, as a result of negotiations by the National Distribution Union.
It is understood 70 per cent of workers have chosen to enrol in courses funded by Pacific Brands, in areas such as licences for forklifts or heavy vehicles, small business, IT, welding, event management and first aid certification.
The closure occurs shortly after the New Zealand based LWR factory shut its doors.
