MELBOURNE: Pacific Brands has appointed a former ANZ Bank executive to its leadership board to help drive its 2010 consolidation strategy.
It announced that former ANZ Bank executive Arlene Tansey will join the board as a non-executive director.
Tansey has more than 25 years experience in the banking and financial services industry and more than 10 years experience as a company director.
Pacific Brands chairman James MacKenzie said Tansey was a welcome addition to the board.
"Arlene's experience in the banking and finance industry will be an asset to the company as it continues the implementation of its Pacific Brands 2010 plan," he said.
Pacific Brands announced its 2010 transformation strategy early last year, part of which included moving clothing manufacturing operations to China and restructuring its brand portfolio.
Tansey was previously with the ANZ Bank where she held a number of senior roles, inlcuding managing director, balance sheet management, for the Institutional Bank where she worked for ten years.
Other directorships include the formerly AX-listed Sydney Roads Group, Retirement Villages Group, Snowy Hydro Limited and Sydney Ports Corporation.
