NEW YORK: The big apple will be stalked by Australian labels, with two NSW brands confirmed to prowl the runway at Nolcha Fashion Week in New York.
Sydney label Pizzuto and Newcastle based brand KabukiU will show next week, which runs alongside New York Fashion Week.
On September 15 Pizzuto designer Suzie Rose Vella will present the womenswear label's spring/summer 2010 collection, with a view to picking up boutique accounts.
The trend aware brand features angular cocktail dresses, flowing hand painted silk maxi dresses, feline prints, tailored jackets and cropped trousers. Crisp white, yellow and indigo blue are key colours.
Pizzuto currently has over 300 boutiques across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.
KabukiU designer Telina Webb will show the brand on September 16. It focuses on kimonos, lingerie and eveningwear. The brand will also participate in Arabian Fashion Week later this year.
Nolcha Fashion Week is an annual event for independent designer labels. It is held simultaneously with New York Fashion Week and runs from September 14 to 18.
