AUCKLAND: Organisers of New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) have revealed the dates for the event's 2010 instalment.
The 10th annual NZFW will run from Tuesday September 21 to Sunday September 26. NZFW managing director Pieter Stewart said organisers will continue their efforts to target buyers and media from the Asian market in particular.
“When we launched New Zealand Fashion Week in 2001, we did so with a vision to create a platform that provides the best opportunity to showcase [New Zealand's] talent to our own domestic market and more importantly to the world,” Stewart said.
“In 2009 we worked to attract interest from key industry players from throughout Asia, ensuring our New Zealand designers were given every opportunity to make inroads into these lucrative emerging markets.
“This year we will continue to develop these relationships and foster new ones,” he said.
Participating designers and sponsors will be announced in late July, and the event's final schedule will be released one week prior to its launch.
As in previous years, NZFW 2010 will be held at Viaduct Harbour Marine Village on Halsey Street, Auckland.
