GOLD COAST: Fashion hopefuls are preparing to vie for one of the industry's leading accolades.
Taking place tonight at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, the NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards National Final will feature a total of 27 finalist entries.
These were selected from a field of almost 300, all of which competed in the preliminary judging heats held on the Gold Coast and nationally from March 31 to April 3.
The most nominated finalists in this year's crop include Lisa Brown's self named womenswear label and Brad Webb, founder of Darb Bridal Couture.
Award categories include Student Designs - presented by Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre; Ready to wear - presented by Conrad Jupiters; and Signature Designs presented by Sony Centre.
Featuring live entertainment and celebrity hosts, tonight's program will be telecast live throughout Queensland at 8.30 pm and replayed nationally on Saturday May 2.
