NATIONAL: Listed group Noni B has announced its total sales revenue for the 2008/09 financial year was $118.2 million for the period ended June 28, 2009.
The figure was down from $127.9 million in the previous financial year.
It had a net profit after tax of $2.3 million for the year.
The womenswear company, which runs labels Noni B and Liz Jordan, said it had reinforced its intent to reach a broader customer market, increase margins and reduce expenses in order to increase profitability in the next financial year.
Joint managing director David Kindl Kindl cited economic pressure on Noni B's traditional customer base as a reason for the drop.
He said strengthening marketing for the Liz Jordan label, with in-store merchandising, advertising and increasing on-line customer databases, will be key to future improvement.
The company increased its Noni B store numbers from 201 to 214 nationally, including 18 new stores and five closures. It is aiming to reach 250 stores in the future.
