NATIONAL: Value jewellery retailer Diva could soon be singing a new tune.
Australian musical retail veteran Evelyn Barry has been appointed to a senior position at the fast fashion chain, which has over 160 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
According to music news service Billboard.biz, Barry's venture into fashion sector came after almost a quarter of a century in the music retail business.
Barry was credited with revolutionising order and inventory systems at music retailers Brashs and Sanity, along with serving on seven of retail trade body AMRA's 18 boards.
She had also helped ARIA achieve its electronic retail-sales feed and had worked across the Sanity, Virgin and HMV businesses for the last eight years.
