New chairman
BRISBANE: John Reynolds has replaced Ben MacDonald as chairman of Queensland Cotton. Since his original appointment in 1991 as non-executive director, Macdonald guided the company through its initial public offer, growth in Australia and offshore expansion into North and South America. Reynolds has been a non-executive director of the company since 2003 and is also currently chairman of CH4 Gas Limited and a director of Bank of Queensland, Mater Health Services and Brisbane Powerhouse. In further news, the company has also appointed Ken Williams as non-executive director to fill a casual vacancy. Williams boasts extensive experience in financial and commodity price risk management.
:Brazin team expands
SYDNEY: Music, DVD and clothing retailer Brazin has appointed David Fletcher to the position of chief financial officer and company secretary. Fletcher brings to the role more than 25 years of financial expertise across a diverse range of industries, including retail, with both local and overseas responsibilities. He joins the company from the Strathfield Group where he was chief financial officer and company secretary. Prior to this Fletcher held senior roles with Woolworths, Sugar Australia and Westpac.

SYDNEY: World Brands Management has appointed Charles Montana to the new role of Pony footwear manager. The company says Montana has an impressive "pedigree" in all facets of the sports business, the pinacle of which was the launch of and general management of "K Swiss" in Australia.

SYDNEY: Womenswear retailer and wholesaler Andiamo has appointed Anni [SIC] Wilson as national sales manager. Wilson has 25 years of fashion industry experience across a variety of sales and account management positions under her belt, most recently a seven year stint as sales manager for the Woollahra (NSW) based Dominique Ogilvie Agency. She replaces Caz Giardini, who has ended a 12 year tenure with Andiamo to spend more time with her family and pursue personal interests.
