The hunt is on for a new global CEO of my-wardrobe.com to help develop the business and drive sales across Australia – following a huge surge in customers.

The online UK-based boutique, which was created in 2006 and sells ‘everyday luxury’ fashion to men and women, began tailoring its site to the Australian market earlier in the year.

After a new report revealed an increase in Australian sales of 113 per cent in the past six months, founder and current CEO Sarah Curran, revealed to the Ragtrader that it was time for a new strategic business move.

“The Australian market is the fastest growing region of the my-wardrobe.com business,” Curran said. “We are seeking a global CEO because my-wardrobe.com is becoming a global business and that person will need to take it to the next level.”

Curran will step down from her role once a new CEO has been appointed, but will remain very involved with the business, as the founder and the face of the brand.

She will still work closely with the new global CEO and executive team, but said the appointment will allow her to focus on key areas of the business such as the brand development, buy and profile, and the creative direction of my-wardrobe.com

“This is an extremely positive move for the business and it’s now about accelerating the growth of the brand internationally,” Curran said. “Despite trading through one of the toughest economic climates for decades, we have continued to show healthy growth both in the UK and now internationally.”

Curran said she is looking for someone with great leadership skills and a proven track record in managing a business through global expansion in a fast growing market.

As well as a new CEO, the brand is also on the hunt for local labels to drive sales and support the Australian market.
