SYDNEY: Luxury accessory brand Coach and eyewear giant Sunglass Hat are the latest players to sign on to Sydney International Terminal's new retail precinct.
Coach will offer a range of leatherwear goods, accessories, fragrance and fine jewellery when it opens a site in 'The Forum' precinct in October.
The brand will join other international luxury houses including Emporio Armani and Burberry in the specially branded area, aimed at promoting global retailers and part of a $500 million re-development of the airport.
Sunglass Hut, which has over 2000 stores across the world, will retail eyewear offerings ranging across Bulgari, Versace, Ralph Lauren, Vogue, Ralph, Oakley and Ray Ban.
Retail for Sydney Airport Corporation general manager Derek Larsen said the redevelopment would service over 32 million domestic and international passengers annually with passenger numbers expected to grow to more 79 million a year over the next two decades.
"Sydney's International Airport is currently undergoing an exhaustive re-development that upon completion will ensure Sydney retains its place as one of the world's leading airports."
