SYDNEY: Men's swimwear and underwear label aussieBum has scooped another award for its export success, this time on a national level.
The brand was awarded the Commonwealth Bank Small to Medium Manufacturer Award at the Australian Export Awards held in Canberra on Friday.
The label, co-owned by Sean Ashby and Guyon Holland also recently won the Small to Medium Manufacturer export award at the 2009 Premier's NSW Export Awards.
In the 2008/09 financial year the company exported over 500,000 units, encompassing retail store orders and online sales.
It reported an annual turnover of $23 million for the period, which was a 30 per cent growth on the previous year.
Ashby recently told Ragtrader of the company's plans to venture into women's underwear and swimwear, as well as its online marketing strategy for 2010.
