SYDNEY: Rodd & Gunn has announced plans to open a flagship store in the new International Terminal (T1) at Sydney Airport.
With over 50 stores in Australasia and a global e-commerce site, the menswear brand will open in The Forum – a new retail precinct in T1 hosting leading fashion houses and luxury offers including jewellery and fine dining.
Rodd & Gunn managing director Mike Beagley said the redevelopment of Sydney's International Airport was a boon for retailers.
"We're certainly looking forward to opening our new Rodd & Gunn store in this exciting new space."
Derek Larsen, general manager, retail at Sydney Airport Corporation said late 2009 would see an "impressive array" of high profile brands open their doors at the newly improved terminal.
"We're delighted Rodd & Gunn is joining other internationally celebrated brands including Burberry and Emporio Armani in the newly expanded terminal."
Sydney Airport currently services over 32 million domestic and international passengers annually, with passenger numbers expected to more than double to 78.9 million per year over the next two decades.
