MELBOURNE: Australian designer label LIFEwithBIRD will open its first concept store next week - and exclusive product offerings are set to play a key role in the new retail venture.
Located on the first floor of the Melbourne GPO shopping complex, the store will stock LIFEwithBIRD collections as well as a select range of designer apparel and jewellery.
The brand has collaborated with recycled fur company Bedalia on a limited edition line of vests and jackets, scheduled for release when the store commences trade on March 11.
LIFEwithBIRD will also relaunch its signature leather bags range through the store, with all items assembled by hand using Spanish and Italian leathers. A selection of contemporary jewellery will capp off the product offer.
The store has been created in collaboration with interior design firm Wonder and features high ceilings, warehouse-style arched windows and powder-coated white metal fittings.
Architectural glass installations form changing rooms, counters and jewellery cabinets, while a central sculpture made from fine metal enables staff to transform it to suit different merchandising needs.
An in-store installation titled 'The Unknown' will communicate the brand's latest collection using video and photography.
