SYDNEY: The Westfield Group has reported a net profit of $1,534.5 million for the six months to June 30, 2005. The result includes net property income, before revaluations, of $1,169 million. The distribution for the period was $873.6 million, representing representing 51.07 cents per stapled security. Managing directors Peter Lowy and Stephen Lowy said the group's shopping centre operations in all markets continued to perform well. At June 30, 2005 the Westfield Group had interests in 126 shopping centres with a value of approximately $46.3 billion.

:UnderCoverWear results
SYDNEY:Lingerie manufacturer UnderCoverWear has announced a net profit after tax of $2,427,215 for the year ended June 30, 2005. The company anticipates its sales team will continue to grow over the next 12 months and is forecasting a solid increase in revenue. Further expenditure on marketing and advertising campaigns is also expected to strengthen existing product and brand awareness throughout Australia and New Zealand.

:Corporate coup
SYDNEY: Table Eight Corporate has secured a major contract to supply National Australia Bank's (NAB) uniform. Whilst reluctant to divulge specific details on the new account, the company did say that they will be providing NAB with an end-to-end solution from design through to garment manufacture and distribution. Table Eight's other major accounts include Westfield Australia and New Zealand, Crown Casino, Mayne Health and OPSM.

MELBOURNE: Business system provider Soft Centre has launched a new point of sale system for Seams Fashion users. The new system comprises of point of sale terminals together with all the necessary software to run a cash retail point. :Sticking the boot in
SYDNEY: Footwear and apparel manufacturer Pony International has designed a pair of cricket boots for Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath. The white and metallic gold boots with Pony 500 emblazoned in gold stitching, which were recently worn by McGrath during the 2005 Ashes series first test, are currently on display at the Lords Museum in London. Pony International are presently designing a larger range of Glen McGrath cricket boots, which will be available to the public in the near future.

MELBOURNE:Womenswear retailer Bracewell has opened a factory outlet store in central Melbourne. Located on Carson Place the store stocks a range of labels including sass & bide and Mavi, all of which are significantly discounted.
