NATIONAL: A trio of Australian fashion labels will take centre stage at a special event in Seoul next Monday (January 26). The labels - Gina Kim, Kirrily Johnston and Sydney-based New Zealand born brand Sabatini - are participating in a 'Colours of Australia' event aimed at promoting the use of Australian merino wool in Korea.
Wool promotion agency Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) said the labels would take to the catwalk to showcase the fibre's "elegance and luxurious feel".
The show will also feature a range of everyday wear by AWI label Red Island.
Austrade's Seoul senior trade commissioner, Martin Walsh, said Korea imported $US5 billion ($A771 billion) worth of overseas fashion apparel and accessories over the past 12 months making it an opportunity market for Australian fashion exporters.
