THOSE IN THE FASHION BUSINESS LOVE NOTHING MORE THAN A GOOD KNEES-UP AND A CHANCE TO GET OUT AND ABOUT. BELOW RAGTRADER PRODUCES THE PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE.
MSFW NADBESS
The mystic Melbourne buzz once again came to the fore when the city’s most host profile fashionistas glammed up for the official Spring Fashion Week launch. International model Jessica Hart flew in expressly for the occasion where she was crowned event ambassador. Pictured is Shirin Pulitano from dotdotdash and Rosemary Masic from Nevenka (0102).

PADDINGTON POWER
Never ones to let an opportunity pass them by, Sydney fashion identities were out in force to celebrate the launch of mini magazine the Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival Buddy in Paddington’s drinking hole The London earlier this month. Following an introductory speech by fashion retail queen Belinda Seper, retailers took a chance to relax before the madness of RSFF descended. Pictured among the throng was Sydney developer and rag trade veteran Theo Onisforou together with Phil Scofield.
BONDS AND BEAUTY
Bonds ambassador Sarah Murdoch charmed the crowds at the underwear label’s spring 2009 collection launch in Sydney. The model and mum laughed and said she was “still hanging in there, with a little help” when her campaign shot appeared in full size on the wall. Presenter and DJ of the moment Ruby Rose hit the decks and rollerskating models in the season’s colourful garments livened up the stage. Murdoch is pictured here with Laura Andon and Jarred Baker, and Ruby Rose.
HALF CENTURY CELEBRATION
They came from near and far but there was no way any of the 700-plus guests who attended Vogue Australia’s 50th birthday bash were leaving early. A casting call spanning five decades and dating back to 1959 — including the first ever cover girl Maggie Tabberer — was on hand at Sydney’s Fox Studios to commemorate the occasion with celebrations continuing well into the wee hours. Pictured walking the red carpet is Kiwi designer, and magazine favourite, Kate Sylvester.
