Time to shine Bondi Beach was the setting for the launch of Trilby Phoenix, an online store specialising in international jewellery and accessories. Founder Holly Baxter (pictured) invited fashion journalists, celebrities and designers to The White Revolver bar for a preview of the collections on offer – while sampling some winter warming cocktails, wines and canapes.
All aboard Nautica launched its spring/summer 2009 collection in fitting style – at the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Point Piper, Sydney. Ignoring winter weather conditions, the leisurewear brand invited fashion media, stylists and designers to view the range while dining on some fresh, summer-inspired fare. Familiar faces Denim retailer Jeanswest kept things local for the launch of its new Glenelg store. Adelaide personalities Rhett Biglands, Tom Williams, Doris Younane and Nathan Strempel downed some bubbly while taking in the sleek silver, black and white surroundings. Guests were also treated to an autumn/winter 2009 collection showcase (models pictured).
Birthday boy Donny Galella doesn’t celebrate his birthday with a few friends around for dinner. The menswear designer and celebrity milliner took to Sydney’s Kit & Kaboodle Supper Club for his big 30th. Guests such as designers Samantha Willis and Daniel Avakian were greeted by hosts clad in Alex Perry and Galella designs.
