NATIONAL: Speculation collapsed businesswear retailer Herringbone would be snapped up by an offshore player has proven to be correct.

Administrator BRI Ferrier announced the brand's assets had been purchased by German-headquartered apparel company van Laack. The company's Australian arm made a successful bid for the brand and would retain 37 jobs as part of the transaction, BRI Ferrier's Martin Green revealed today.
