MELBOURNE: French fashion will be key to the line up at the forthcoming Fashion Exposed trade fair, with 15 labels set to be part of a feature exhibition.
The French brands will appear in the Preview precinct and will also show together on the catwalk. The exact labels participating are yet to be revealed.
Set to run from August 29 to 31 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Fashion Exposed will see 1500 labels across menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and streetwear reveal autumn 2011 products.
A new element will be Spirit of the Season, a visual merchandising competition for students and retail professionals. Regular activities such as the Debut designer competition, the Fashion Business Seminars, Salon Shows and Live Look Books will all be part of the event.
The trade fair is co-located with the Bags & Accessories fair, with brands such as Otazu, Samsonite, Storm Australia and Spencer and Rutherford scheduled to show.
The Australian Shoe Fair will also be held, with 600 footwear brands involved. First time shoe exhibitors include Bossanova, Briarwood, Kavis Fashions, Leisure Link, The Natural Shoe Company, Shoe Trends, Naughty Little Monkeys and Shoe Scene.
