NATIONAL: French urban sneaker label Feiyue is now available in Australia.
The label, which is stocked in boutiques in Europe, US, Canada and Hong Kong, offers lightweight canvas and leather shoes in low-cut ankle styles and high tops. Key shades are black and white with different colour detailing, or one-colour styles in yellow, blue, red and green.
Feiyue translates to 'Flying Forward' in English. The brand originated in Shanghai in the 1920's before being picked up by French designers in 2006. It offers two seasonal collections per year but is not driven by trends.
Distributed in Australia by Made Distribution, boutique stores including Tuchuzy in Sydney, Brave New World in Perth and Nique in Melbourne have been quick to pick up the brand. The shoes retail from $99 to $210.
