NATIONAL: Bi-annual trend event Fashion Flash Forecast is hitting the road.

Traditionally staged in the manufacturing hubs of Sydney and Melbourne, The Fashion Group International of Sydney-hosted event will next week make its Brisbane debut.

Featuring an audiovisual presentation of the European and US autumn/winter 2009/10 ready-to-wear collections, the evening event will be proceeded by a panellist discussion featuring Jean Brown director Amber Long and The Courier and Sunday Mail senior fashion stylist Elizabeth Clarke.

The May 27 event will be moderated by Australian Fashion Partners director Serena Beirne and staged at Queensland University of Technology.

The event's Sydney version is on Wednesday (May 20) at Sydney Institute of TAFE's The Apprentice Restaurant while the Melbourne instalment will take place this Thursday (May 21) at Whitehouse Institute of Design.
