SYDNEY: Retailers concerned about how the Fair Work Act is continuing to impact business have a chance learn more at a free seminar.
Held by Middletons law firm, the seminar will explore the national legislation which came into effect in July 2009. The act has resulted in comprehensive changes to the terms and conditions of employment for all Australians.
Middletons partner Alice DeBoos from the company’s Workplace Relations and Safety Group will run the event. DeBoos will explore key changes such as modern awards coverage, National Employment Standards (NES), agreement making, unfair dismissal and adverse action.
The seminar will be held on Thursday September 30 from 5.30pm at the Middletons offices in Martin Place, Sydney.
