The brains behind Cerrone Jewellery, Helen Kaminski, Ksubi and more will come together to offer insights on how to best market local fashion brands to international buyers.

The Council of Textile and Fashion Industries of Australia (TFIA) will bring each of the fashion businesses together when it hosts its Fashion Export Marketing workshop in Sydney on February 10. The event aims to educate designer members of the Australian Fashion Export Cluster (AFEC) on how to successfully market to international buyers.

Nicola Cerrone of Cerrone Jewellers, Kim Darling from accessories label Helen Kaminski and former COO of Ksubi Jeans, Neil Cunningham, will all present to workshop attendees.

Other experts on hand will include the managing director of research firm Pollinate, Howard Parry-Husbands; the director of marketing and PR firm Torstar Communications, Tory Archbold; and the head of marketing and business development for online marketing specialists First Rate, Tom Skotidas.

The event is being supported by Industry & Investment NSW, Austrade and Fashion Futures.

AFEC was formed by the TFIA in March 2010 as a vehicle for local designers to come together, meet with experts and share knowledge on how to grow their businesses via successful export practices.
