NATIONAL: Thirteen Australian labels are preparing to strike up business in New York this week, as part of the Australia Week G’Day USA celebrations.
The brands will showcase their goods over a three day event, supported by the Australia Week Committee and the Australian Wool Innovation. Its purpose is to connect emerging brands with New York retail buyers, stylists and fashion media.
Fashion brands including Ohara, Pure Pod, Serpent & the Swan, Tato & Memi, Fujinella and Foxton Danger will take part.
Jewellery labels involved are Ghost & Lola, Lisa Carney, Lola & Bailey, Melissa Berta, Paula Walden, Urban Boulder and Totomoto Australia.
The event will be held in the Monash Room, Australian Consulate General from January 19 to 21, 2011.
