Baby boost
MELBOURNE: A new babies and toddlers e-commerce website has been launched by the team behind fashion public relations firm Spice & Soul PR. Called moosaidthecow.com, the site will be directed by Amanda Booth combined with the expertise of fashion buyer Karin George, formerly of retail chains Sportsgirl and David Lawrence. Pitched as an online department store, the site offers manchester, toys, bath products and children's furniture, with apparel to be introduced in 2011. The website has kicked off its promotional drive by offering a 10 per cent discount to new members. The online boutique has a standard shipping rate of $8.95 per order.
Yumi online
CANBERRA: UK womenswear label Yumi has confirmed it will launch its Australian e-tail site this month. The move follows similar initiatives for Germany and Spain and will be linked in with the company’s original UK site, yumidirect.com. The site will offer the brand’s complete range of designs, which feature bold prints and embellishments. Yumi is the sister brand of womenswear brand Uttam London. Distributed from a base in Canberra, the two brands are available in around 182 boutiques nationally.

SYDNEY: Swimwear label Jemma Jube has launched an e-commerce arm and new website, following its recent foray into UK retail giant Topshop with a capsule collection. The Sydney-based brand offers bikinis and one-pieces with a 1950s sentiment, which are made in France. Key colours for summer 2010/11 are yellow, black and denim blue, with balconette bustier designs a prominent look. The e-tail service offers shipping to Australian and international customers. Domestically, the label is stocked
in FAT boutiques.

NEW ZEALAND: Maternity and nursing lingerie label HOTmilk has teamed up with a motherhood expert to grow the content of its website. Author of maternity book You Sexy Mother Jodie Hedley-Ward will contribute style and lifestyle advice pitched at expectant or new mothers. The editorial will run across the brand’s official website, with Hedley-Ward also contributing content to HOTmilk’s social media platforms. HOTmilk was launched in 2004 by Lisa Ebbing and is stocked across Australia and New Zealand.
