SOUL SOLD ONLINE
MELBOURNE: The founders of Review have launched an online store for their most recent
fashion venture. Jayne Ellis and Peter Strain have lifted the lid on www.unitedsoul.com.au, a transactional store to accompany their Toorak boutique of the same name. The e-store features men's and women's apparel, with women's tops retailing from $149, dresses from $249, and men's suits from $1095. Unique Soul was founded in 2009 and its spring/summer 2010/11 collection focuses on "sporty separates and sleek tailoring".

WESTFIELD BLOG SEARCH
NATIONAL: Westfield has launched a nationwide search to find 'The Westfield Insider' – a role which will see the successful applicant be an official shopping blogger for the retail giant in 2011. The role is offering a $100,000 wage, subject to conditions. The Insider will be responsible for creating shopping news blogs and stories, researching new products and trends and presenting video content. They will also serve as a public face for the company at major fashion events in that time. Applications close on October 1, with interviews held in major capital cities until November 2.

GROWING FANS
NATIONAL: Fashion exchange site Thread Swap has hit a figure of 2000 members on its database since its launch in 2009. Around 100 garments per week are loaded by users onto the site, with an image and description provided. Each item is then made available to swap with other users. Credits are given to those who give away garments, which can then be used to obtain other items of choice.

STONNINGTON BLOGS
MELBOURNE: The Stonnington Spring Fashion Runway has stepped into the social networking world with the addition of an official blogger to cover this year's event. The Style Me Stonnington blog will be written by freelance writer Stephanie Williams. It will feature snapshots of street style, interviews with the 2010 Stonnington Hall of Fame inductees, feedback from the Fashion Industry Forum and behind the scenes information from the official runway show. The event will be held on September 30, with the blog live until October 2.
