MELBOURNE: Women’s occasion wear label Nicholangëla has launched its online store at www.nicholangela.com. As well as showcasing the label’s autumn/winter 2010 collection entitled ‘Old Hollywood Glamour’, the site features an online ‘Shop Assistant’ that includes a special events colour chart to assist customers shopping for bridal or formal wear. The site adds to Nicholangëla’s two bricks-and-mortar retail stores and its stockists across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

SYDNEY: Designer fashion boutique The Intersection Paddington has launched a dedicated trend blog, with daily updates on in-store product drops, styling advice and street-style photography. The store stocks premium labels such as sass & bide, Willow and Alannah Hill.
DESIGN YOUR OWN
SYDNEY: Bag label Skipping Girl has introduced a Design-a-Tote function to its website, www.skippinggirl.com. The feature allows customers to customise Skipping Girl bag designs or to invent their own creations via the website’s drawing grid. The design is then hand-crocheted, shipped and delivered to the customer within four to six weeks, with the Design-a-Tote bags retailing for $190. Skipping Girl bags are made in India and are shipped internationally.
GETTING SHIRTY
SYDNEY: Babel Co. will bolster its online presence with the opening of two retail stores across Sydney and Melbourne. The CBD sites will offer the menswear label’s signature dress shirts and will also stock product not currently available on its online store, including men’s trousers, polo tops, shoes, belts, cuff links and hats. Babel Co. dress shirts are all 100 per cent cotton and hand-stitched and feature statement collars and cuffs.
TAPPING IN
SYDNEY: Womenswear label Kyotap has revamped its website with e-commerce facilities and a blog. Designer Fiona Buckingham will update it with information about current ranges, inspiration for collections and links to other creative sites. Social networking will be stepped up with links to Twitter and Facebook. The seven-year-old brand has a stand-alone store in Surry Hills, Sydney.
