NATIONAL: Just Group has revealed Dotti's growth from ten to 100 stores over the past five years has 'exceeded expectations'.
The young womenswear brand opened its 100th store in Taylor's Lakes, Melbourne, on December 12. Just Group managing director Jason Murray said Dotti had only ten stores when it was added to the group's portfolio.
"When we acquired the brand in 2004 we believed it had great potential but I admit that the growth has exceeded our expectations," Murray said.
"To go from ten to 100 stores in five years is, by any measure, a remarkable success story in the highly competitive Australasian retail fashion market."
Dotti has stores across Australia and New Zealand, and is also now stocked by David Jones in its Bourke Street store in Melbourne. The David Jones deal was "further confirmation of the wide appeal of the brand", Murray said.
Just Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Premier Investments and has over 950 retail stores. Its brands include Just Jeans, Portmans, Peter Alexander and Jacquie E.
