MELBOURNE: L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) organisers have recruited another two industry heavyweights to its schedule of presentations.
UK Vogue features editor Pippa Holt will join Liberty London creative consultant and style icon Yasmin Sewell on the LMFF Designer Forum panel. This followed the announcement of LMFF's high-profile business seminar panel last month, which included H&M creative adviser Margareta van den Bosch.
"What we are really thrilled about is that we have been able to tempt back to Australia two of our countries great successes in the international arena," organisers said of Sewell and Holt, both of whom are Australian born and bred.
Melbourne-born Holt has been based in London for over 11 years, working as a fashion PR representative for retailers Whistles and Browns before landing her current role at UK Vogue.
Sewell opened London boutique Yasmin Cho at the age of 22 before moving on to work as buying director for department store Browns. Sewell is a regular style and social feature in publications such as UK Vogue and influential blog The Sartorialist.
The 2009 LMFF Designer Forum will be called 'Promises and Pitfalls' and aim to give audiences an insight into how to best capture success in the international market.
