SYDNEY: Prominent fashion chain Cue has been named one of the top 100 new icons of cool in an article that appeared in The Sunday Telegraph's Sunday Life Magazine. Cue, which describes itself as a "young ladies retailer, wholesaler and manufacturer", was the only fashion brand to make the list, which appeared in the newspaper's July 16 edition.

Beauty meets fashion
SYDNEY:The 2006 Sydney International Beauty Expo will feature a series of parades showcasing the latest eveningwear, underwear, mainstream fashion and bodywear. The four shows, titles the 'Catwalk Glamour Fashion Parades', will be held from September 9 - 10 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour. Put together by leading stylist, Carol Provin, the line-up includes Seafolly, Queenspark, Anthea Crawford and a selection of Sydney TAFE fashion design students. Herringbone grows
NATIONAL: Herringbone has unveiled two new store openings in Melbourne and Sydney. The Sydney boutique, situated at No.1 Martin Place Sydney, will showcase the complete Herringbone range of men's shirting, ties, cufflinks, shoes, accessories as well as the brand's custom made shirting service. The Melbourne boutique, in Collins Place, is set to stock both the men's and women's line as well as a complete collection of knitwear. The latest Spring/Summer 06 collection will launch in all Herringbone stores on July 19.

Kathmandu steps up
AUCKLAND: Outdoor clothing and equipment retailer Kathmandu has added to its international chain with a flagship 890 square metre store in Auckland's Sylvia Park retail centre. Situated in Stage 3 of the sprawling shopping complex, the store will stock the latest Kathmandu product range including performance outdoor clothing, fleece apparel, footwear, sleping bags, tents, bags, packs, rucksacks and travel accessories. The store will also offer the Basecamp range which covers tents, bedding, furniture, kitchenwear, barbeques, stoves, cooler products as well as lighting and heating accessories. Stage 3 of the development is due for completion in the 2nd quarter of 2007 and the final completion mid 2007.

Saboteur's Espionage
NATIONAL: Saboteur, a new boutique fashion label, is offering a range of men's limited edition graphic t-shirts. Each garment is hand numbered and the collection will only offer 100 pieces of each design and colour produced. Series One- Espionage includes a range of tongue-in-cheek graphics referencing people and events of the 20th Century. Smart call
SYDNEY: Asia-Pacific's premier supply chain event, Smart Conference, has appealed for speakers to participate in Smart 2007 "Supply Chain - the Engine for Growth". Taking place on June 20 and 21, the event will be staged at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour. Individuals demonstrating excellence in their field are invited to submit applications to present a paper around the main conference theme.
