The Logan city suburb was due to welcome The OC @ Exit, a 14,000sqm precinct with over 70 outlet stores and a capacity to create 300 full time jobs, in March but developers have now delayed its opening to August. It is understood two thirds of leases for the site were either confirmed or finalised with one third still under negotiation.
Developers The Quinn Group are believed to have delayed the launch in response to concerns from signed retailers, which wanted a time to build capital-expenditure budgets.
Fashion retailer The Elegant Shed was the largest committed tenancy and had taken out a 10-year lease with a 10-year option for a 1389sqm site. Retail rates in the complex range from $380/sqm to $1500/sqm.
