: Global demand for Australian wool remains buoyant
A business survey conducted by The Woolmark Company has identified improved orders from retailers through to processors, and increased confidence in mills across Western Europe. The latest international survey of wool processors and manufacturers shows the market should remain buoyant until June 2006. Furthermore, in some parts of Asia, shops have run out of woollen clothing as a cold winter increases sales. This shortage will help to boost the demand of wool in 2006.

: Sydney: Model agency Moda Management is hosting a catwalk fashion contest at The Sydney Opera House in aid of The National Breast Cancer Foundation. The March event will crown a model winner on the night as Australia?s Youth Face of the National Breast Cancer Foundation 2006.
Donating their favourite pink creation to showcase on the night, Australian designers Alice McCall, Bare by Rebecca Davies, Charlie Brown, Collette Dinnigan, Morrissey, Nicola Finetti and Zimmerman are coming out in force to support the event.
Selected VIP guests and celebrities will be invited in the build up to the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week. Selected finalists will strut their stuff on the runway in front of a panel of industry judges including Kirstie Clements, Vogue Australia's Editor in Chief.

Melbourne: Introducing new and innovative training programs for the TCF industry, the Technical Textiles and Nonwoven Association has partnered with the International Fibre Centre to deliver the Fibre, Yarn, Textile and Apparel Tests Course. Taking place at the CSIRO Textile and Fibre Technology facilities in Belmont, Geelong on 6th and 7th March, the course will address the latest developments in testing equipment and test methods. Mr Robert K. Lattie, Director of Product Management at SDL Atlas in Chicago, will be the main facilitator for the course.
