SYDNEY: Long standing wholesale brand Cooper St is taking the leap into retail, set to open its first store in Westfield Bondi Junction in December.

The new store is slated to be a flagship site for the young womenswear brand, and is due to open the week commencing December 14.

Cooper St founder and director Craig Cooper said the new store will be "just a stone's throw away" from the label's beginnings at Sydney's Paddington markets.

"After a booming year, the Cooper St brand has become so popular we're just keeping up with demand - this seemed like the next logical step. After 16 years at Paddington markets I saw an opportunity to do it all over again with a fabulous position on offer at Westfield Bondi Junction," he said.

The Cooper St label started in 1988 and is now stocked in Myer and David Jones stores nationally. The label also has a raft of stockists across Australia and overseas.
