SYDNEY: camilla and marc has ventured into the world of 'apps' with a device that will see its products available via mobile phone.
The Sydney-based label has launched its own bespoke BlackBerry phone application, which will provide users with access to the camilla and marc online store, diary updates and a shopping wish-list feature.
During the brand's Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) show this week, images will be streamed to app users. The new camilla and marc jewellery collection, which will debut in the show, will then be made available to app users before it hits retail stores.
Co-designer Marc Freeman said he wanted to be at the forefront of merging fashion retailing and new technology.
"With this app we wanted to push these boundaries and become the first to offer exclusive limited edition items to purchase during our fashion week show as well as providing our fans and loyal customers the option to buy camilla and marc as and when they desire," he said.
camilla and marc will show at RAFW on Tuesday at 9am. RAFW runs until Friday May 7. For more information pick up Ragtrader's special RAFW edition, available now.
